Billed as “the one to win”, we’re excited to share that we have won the Security Vendor of the Year (SME) in Computing’s Security Excellence Awards.
The ceremony was a wonderful evening and we were shoulder to shoulder with industry leading nominees specialising in IT security solutions.
We are honoured to receive the award from such a well-recognised and esteemed publication. The awards celebrate the achievements of the IT industry’s headlining security vendors, solutions, products and personalities.
The evening began with an introduction into the current state of cyber security presented by Tom Allen, Computing's Special Projects Editor. We were pleased to find out that the chosen charity partner for the evening was our very own customer, Place2Be. They provide children with access to vital support in schools throughout the UK, with a mission to enhance their well-being. We were delighted to assist such a great cause as they're also one of our valued IT support and cloud hosting customers.
Our submission focused on our tech agnostic and consultative led approach to security solutions which has led to proven results for our customers.
Adam Binks, CEO of SysGroup said:
"We are delighted to be named the Security Vendor of the Year. It's an exciting time for SysGroup as the win comes after a strong year of nominations and recognitions and I couldn't be more proud of our hard-working team, their dedication and ingenuity. It's a great end to 2018 and we are more motivated than ever going into 2019 on such a positive note. Congratulations to all the winners!"
Colin Deamer, Group Sales Director at SysGroup, added:
"Cyber security has been a huge focus this year. With increasing regulations and external threats, organisations are looking for managed IT partners they can rely on. We have worked hard to strengthen our relationships with our security partners such as WatchGuard, Kaspersky and Mimecast to deliver best-in-breed solutions to our customers. It's fantastic to be recognised by Computing."
The win comes after a series of recognitions in the industry such as achieving runner-up in Computing Security's Best Customer Service award. Others include being named finalists in the UK Business Tech Awards for Most Impressive Growth and Medium Tech Company of the Year; UK IT Industry Awards for Vendor of the Year, Computing Cloud Excellence for Best Cloud Support Provider and Cloud Vendor of the Year and the Cyber Security Awards for Best Security Company of the Year.
Sumayya Suleman, Head of Customer Experience at SysGroup summed up the year, saying:
"It's been an impressive year for SysGroup - we've been building, growing and investing; not only in our solutions but in our team. Our customers trust us to feel secure with SysGroup. We're looking forward to what 2019 will bring and we are humbled by the recognition for this award!"
