Looking back through 2018 - A year in review!

I don’t know about you, but just where has this year gone. It’s been super hectic – but we like it that way and it’s good to reflect on the year as we prepare for 2019.

The Big Re-brand

The separate companies came together in April to form one glorious Group. SysGroup. Some likened it to the Big Bang, where opportunities were infinite and the company would move forward independently of the companies it was before. We've called it: The Big Re-brand. In the cooling afterglow of many acquisitions and rapid growth, our new colours, logo, website has really brought the company personality to life. We aren’t tooting our own trumpets when we say we think it looks really bright and modern – suits us down to a T! It's not just looks however, we've been busy elves ensuring that we're constantly updating you with educational information - blogsebooks you name it! Keep an eye out for our webinars in 2019 too. Part of our re-brand was redesigning our offices. It's a work still in progress, but we are nearly there! Here are our Liverpool and London offices looking very sleek...

Our CEO, our team and our services have been rightly recognised this year across a number of awards! We even won Computing’s Security Vendor of the Year, which was really exciting and a testament to our teams for their big focus on cyber security in 2018.

Some awards we were particularly excited about are:

  • Our CEO, Adam Binks being named in the North West 42 under 42 list.
  • Winner of Computing's Security Vendor of the Year
  • Finalists for the Best Cloud Support Provider and Cloud Vendor of the Year in the Cloud Excellence Awards 2018.
  • Shortlisted in the Best Security Company of the Year in the Cyber Security Awards.
  • Runner up for the Best Customer Service Award in the Computing Security Awards.
  • Finalists for Most Impressive Growth and Medium Tech Company of the Year in the UK Business Tech Awards.

Improving and Enhancing Customer Experience

We've always been focused on providing good customer service, but we are constantly trying to take it to the next level. 2018 brought about an expansion to the customer services and support team to emphasise or 24/7/365 support. We have our team and our customers to thank for SysGroup being named as the Runner up for the Best Customer Service Award in the Computing Security Awards.

Our Ever Expanding Team

Our team are growing and growing! Not just through acquisition, but teams are rapidly expanding across all of our offices. With offices up and down the country, it’s not often that the team gets together – so you can always rely on the Christmas party to bring the team to one place! Hosted at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool – it was great to all get together and let our hair down. I’ve managed to get some of the pictures – we scrub up well, even if I do say so myself!
