
What was your very first job?
My first job was in a fruit and veg shop in Munich. It was my first experience working abroad and taught me a lot about responsibility, communication and customer service.
If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be?
An aerospace engineer working on rockets or rovers. I’ve always been curious about how something so complex is engineered to work in space.
If you had to give a TED Talk on something random, what would it be?
I’d give a TED talk on curiosity – how constantly wanting to learn and understand how things work can open doors both professionally and personally.
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to learning here?
I am keen to deepen my cybersecurity knowledge and learn from other teams to become a more complete engineer.
If you could invent one office perk, what would it be?
A shared exercise break where teams can join in – whether that’s stretching, walking or life workouts.
What’s the most exciting part of your role at SysGroup?
Cybersecurity is always changing and evolving, and the most exciting part of my role is constantly learning something new.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?
Outside of work, I spend time on creative and technical hobbies – 3d printing and painting tabletop miniatures, tinkering with electronics, coding and keeping up with podcasts and series.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (work or life)?
Trust the process – progress doesn’t always feel obvious at the moment, but consistency pays off over time.
