What was your very first job?
I worked as a pot washer in a large commercial kitchen. I worked with some lovely kind people who worked very hard.
If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be?
I have a very romanticised view of being a cowboy on a cattle ranch, one day of that would probably be enough to change my mind of that. However, epic views and riding horses all day sounds like a good way to spend it.
If you had to give a TED Talk on something random, what would it be?
Why watching the normal Lord of the Rings trilogy is a waste of time but watching the extended editions is a true investment.
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to learning here?
I have enjoyed getting updated on the IT side of the business.
If you could invent one office perk, what would it be?
Friskvårdstimme, paid time during work for health or a wellness activity.
What’s the most exciting part of your role at SysGroup?
Cyber security Incidents! Exciting is one word to describe them. Related to this is seeing the plans and procedures we have put into place and exercised with our clients working when things are hard is great too.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?
I am lucky to be a father to 3 amazing boys, outside of that my wife is my best friend so spending time with her is always amazing. Additionally, I am a military reservist so that takes up time too, and in last 2 years I have got into horse riding so that takes up the rest!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (work or life)?
This too shall pass.
