We are looking for a knowledgeable Resource Coordinator to provide technical support for all SysGroup customers as well for our own internal systems.
The Technical Operations Team (TechOps) provides technical support for all SysGroup customers as well for our own internal systems. The team provides support for the full lifecycle of what we do with our customers from the initial scoping of solutions through to the delivery of a project and hand over to the Service Desk.
Across the TechOps team we need to optimally manage and coordinate how we use our people to ensure that we have the correct level of people with the right skills available at all times for our project delivery. We need to ensure that we keep our people up to date with their qualifications and accreditations, so they are able to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards possible.
To be successful in this role you will need to work across all areas of the business including working with:
You will be responsible for ensuring that our cross organisation technical skills matrix is up to date and that our technical team have the necessary levels of accreditation so that we maintain our status with key vendors.
You will also be responsible for running resource allocation meetings where you will clearly and concisely present the resource requirements for upcoming projects and highlight areas where resources are required to complete a project on time and to budget.
You will also take a lead in coordinating other resource requirements as needs arise, this could include assisting in confirming hardware delivery dates, working closely with the Technical Project Management team as part of the overall matrix of project delivery.
You will be comfortable working in a matrix environment and be able to successfully reconcile resource requests, some of which may create constraints, that need to be sensitively managed. You will be able to succinctly escalate issues as they arise as well as being able to proactively spot potential issues before they effect project delivery.
As we build our team you will be happy to work in our Newport office so we can move rapidly as we build out our capabilities. There is of course flexibility in the role with flexibility for home working.
Ideal candidates for our new roles will live within commuting distance of our recently refurbished Newport office which sits on the same campus as the Vantage Data Centre – a critical datacentre node in the digital operational capacity of western Europe and in which SysGroup hosts and manages significant infrastructure for a range of customers.
