Role Summary:

The Technical Operations Team (TechOps) provides all IT support across the SysGroup customer base and internally to SysGroup stakeholders. The area has recently been restructured into two clear functional areas under a new Chief Technology Officer.

The first functional area covers Service Delivery and supports the install, monitoring and maintenance of all systems, including the oversight of our datacentre footprint. The team has a number of specialists that focus on connectivity, cloud, infrastructure and monitoring

The second functional area oversees Project Management, Consultancy and Pre-Sales and provides support across the business to close new business, manage implementation and deliver high quality consultancy services. 

As part of the restructuring process, we are looking to fill the following role:

  • Project Manager


Responsible for:

  • Delivering support for a range of projects, working with internal teams and customers
  • Providing timely and up to date data about the progress of projects to the customer and internal teams
  • Owning issues as they arise and working across SysGroup to provide pragmatic solutions
  • Ensuring that customers are up to date and fully briefed on project progress


Key Areas of Knowledge

  • Ideally qualified Prince 2 project manager or equivalent
  • Understanding of Agile processes and PM methodologies
  • A demonstrable of understanding of how DevOps will play a part on the future of tech operations
  • A clear track record of delivering projects on time and to budget

We are looking for people with an energy and commitment to be part of a fast growing and ambitious organisation. You will have a track record of providing project management support across a range of areas including experience of some complex projects with multiple stakeholders. You will be able to solve problems, suggest ways round obstacles and be able to work with a wide range of stakeholders. You will naturally want to talk with colleagues to fully understand the challenges they face and then work with them to build a robust project plan that has clear milestones and success criteria. Working across all areas of the business you will have a curious approach that allows you to dully understand how projects can be delivered as effectively as possible.
