Tech Ops
We are looking for a Junior Technical Project Manager to become an integral part of the of the SysGroup Professional Services Team.
The Project Management function forms an integral part of the of the SysGroup Professional Services Team. The Professional Services Team forms part of the Technical Operations Team and reports to the CTO.
Effectively delivered projects that provide value to our customers are the life blood of what we do. It is essential that our Technical Project Management function is highly skilled in PM methodologies and highly technically aware of what is being delivered. Project Managers are the face of SysGroup to customers during the planning and delivery of projects and as such are required to be 100% aligned to the core SysGroup values and committed to owning issues to completion.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Be able to apply your technical understanding to support in the initial resolution of issues, being confident to identify the issues that need escalation.
This combination of skills will enable you to optimise resource management, project planning and mitigate issues swiftly as they arise.
Working with your Technical Project Management Team you will own the lifecycle of all projects across SysGroup including planning, scheduling, cost management, execution, risk management and the successful closing off of projects. Customer satisfaction is the paramount driving force in all projects so project closure with a high degree of customer satisfaction is, above all else, essential.
Key Skills
As we build our team of Technical Project Managers you will be happy to work in our Newport office so we can move rapidly as we build out our capabilities. There is of course flexibility in the role with travel to customers included and the flexibility for home working.
About You
Ideal candidates for our new roles will live within commuting distance of our recently refurbished Newport office which sits on the same campus as the Vantage Data Centre – a critical datacentre node in the digital operational capacity of western Europe and in which SysGroup hosts and manages significant infrastructure for a range of customers.
