The Opportunity:

The Technical Operations Team (TechOps) provide all IT support across the SysGroup customer base and internally to SysGroup stakeholders. The area has recently been restructured into two clear functional areas under a new Chief Technology Officer. The first functional area covers Service Delivery and supports the install, monitoring and maintenance of all systems, including the oversight of our datacentre footprint. The team has a number of specialists that focus on connectivity, cloud, infrastructure and monitoring.

The second functional area oversees Project Management, Consultancy and Pre-Sales and provides support across the business to close new business, manage implementation and deliver high quality consultancy services. As part of the restructuring process, we are looking to fill the role of Head of Service Delivery.

This role will sit on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of SysGroup and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organisation, as well as providing high quality leadership to their respective teams.

understanding of the value that a Managed Service Partner (MSP) can bring to an organisation. For this role, you will need to be able to lead and manage people to be the best version of themselves to deliver outstanding service to our customers and colleagues within SysGroup.


Head of the Project Management, Consultancy and Pre-Sales Functions

This function is critical to the success of SysGroup. By bringing together Pre-Sales, Project Management and Consultancy we are looking for a person who can support these important areas to operate seamlessly to delivery high quality experiences to our customers. All three areas intersect in the way they operate and are key to the growth strategy. To fulfil this role you will be a qualified Project Manager who understands how Programme Management is vital as an organisation grows. You will be able to articulate how these three areas overlap and lead the teams to effectively support the customer on their journey with SysGroup. The Consultancy team will have clear utilisation targets and you will need to work with the sales team to ensure that they are fully utilised on a range of engagements.


Key Areas of Knowledge:

  • Qualified Prince 2 project Manager or equivalent
  • Understanding of Agile processes and PM methodologies
  • A demonstrable of understanding of how DevOps will play a part on the future of tech operations
  • An understanding of how to position the value of consultancy as part of the relationship with customers
  • An understanding of how the Pre-Sales process supports building a compelling and winning value proposition
